These majestic animals are part of the country's rich wildlife and contribute to the natural diversity of the region.</p><p>The bison, also known as European bison, are the largest land mammals in Europe (bull up to 1.9 meters (6,2 feet) and up to 800 Kg (1,000 lbs)). They are characterized by their imposing stature and massive bodies. Bison have powerful horns and an impressive presence. Their fur is dark brown and looks particularly imposing in the dense forests where they are native.</p><p>Romania is one of the few countries in Europe where free-ranging herds of bison exist. Currently, there are protected areas where these impressive animals can live and reproduce. Romanian forests provide sufficient space and food for bison to thrive in their natural environment.</p>								</div>

									<p>Another fascinating animal found in the Romanian forests is the lynx (size about 75cm (2.5 feet) with a length of about 1 meter (3.3 feet) and 25 Kg. (55 lbs) weight). With its characteristic fur pattern consisting of dark spots and stripes, the lynx is an elegant predator. It is able to move silently through the thicket and hunt its prey with precision.</p>								</div>
