Transfăgărășan

The Transfăgărășan motorway in Romania (built from 1970-1974) is one of the most spectacular and breathtaking panoramic roads in the world. With its breathtaking landscapes and winding serpentines, it is a true paradise for motorists and nature lovers.

It winds its way through the impressive scenery of the Carpathian Mountains. With its steep climbs, tight bends and dizzying slopes, it offers an unforgettable driving experience. Every bend reveals new and breathtaking scenery, from dense forests to snow-capped peaks.

During the summer months, the Transfagarasan is usually cleared of snow and open to traffic. This is the best time to explore this breathtaking road. In winter, however, the road is often closed due to extreme weather conditions. Nevertheless, it still offers a picturesque backdrop for snow lovers.
